reelfoot lake fishing report

Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:
November 11th, 2005

I guess it was bound to happen sometime soon. Fishing has really slowed down. The cold front that came through brought the crappie to a screeching halt, along with other species.

It could return to normal after a couple of days, but there is no guarantee this time of year. Look for many of the species to be slow for the next few months. Crappie will bite all year long. Some anglers prefer the late winter crappie fishing on Reelfoot to any other season, especially for the big ones. Others species like catfish, bass and bluegill could be hibernating for a few months after this.

We'll post sporadic reports over the winter as the information becomes available.
