DEEP SWAMP CANOE TRIPS

To really enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings that Reelfoot has to offer, you need a peaceful mode of travel. That's why the Reelfoot Lake State Park offers their annual deep swamp canoe trips each March and April.

Take a journey through the remote cypress filled swamps of the lake with a Reelfoot naturalist and you'll really see what Reelfoot is all about. It is certainly one of the best possible ways to experience this historic wilderness.

Trips are held every Saturday and Sunday in March and April. The trips leave out from the Reelfoot State Park visitor center. They start 12:00 p.m.. There is a $20.00 charge if a state park canoe is used. Private canoes are no charge.

Bring snacks, drinks, a change of clothes, a camera and binoculars in a waterproof, floatable container.

Reservations are required. For reservations or for more information contact the state park at 731-253-9652.
