Report for May 18th, 2001

Bream (bluegill) - bluegill have slowed somewhat, but there are still some good catches to be had, especially in the upper blue basin. Crickets are the top bait, fishing 1 foot deep in 1 1/2 feet of water.

Catfish -Catfishing is getting better and better. We've got another article this week about the excellent catfishing. It should tell you all you need to know.

Stripes - Stripe fishing is finally starting to pick up. Fishing pin minnows about 10 inches off the bottom in 6 foot of water is working well. Pin minnows can be purchased at Bo's Landing and the Spillway Bait Shop.

Crappie Fishing - Crappie are biting fair, fishing about 4 feet deep in 12 to 15 feet of water. The lower blue basin is one of the top areas. Double crappie rigs and jigs tipped with minnows are providing the best action.

Bass Fishing - Bass Fishing is good early and late in the day. White spinnerbaits and black and blue worms are working good. Also, try buzzbaits in the middle of the day when it's cloudy.
