Report for June 8th, 2001 Bream (bluegill) - The Bream are starting to bed up again and there should be some good fishing in the next few weeks. Right now it's fair to good. The south end of the lake is one of the better areas right now and most of the fish are being caught in 2-8 feet of water. Crickets are working best, but also 1/64th oz. white guinea hair jigs tipped with wax worms.
Bass Fishing - Bass fishing is still good. Early mornings and late
afternoons are best, but the middle of the day is producing some better
size fish. Fish the shady banks in the mid day. Top baits are white or
chartreuse spinnerbaits, plastic worms and shad colored crankbaits.
Stripes - Stripe fishing is still just fair. They haven't really
started yet, but should in the next week or two if the water continues
to warm up. Pin minnows are the bait of choice. Click
