Fishing Licenses for 2005
(Note: These prices are based on the the
prices as of March 10th, 2005. A price increase is due to take affect on

If you plan on hunting or fishing in Tennessee this
year, make sure to purchase your license before April 26th, 2005 to
avoid the increase.
Resident fishing licenses
can be purchased by:
1) Persons who possess a valid Tennessee driver's license.
2) Persons who have lived in Tennessee for 90 consecutive days.
3) Military personnel on active duty in this state and their immediate
families, who reside with them.
4) Students who are enrolled in a Tennessee school, college, or
university for at least 6 months.
Annual Hunting and Fishing Combination

Ages 13-15 ________ $8.00
One-Day Fishing (Type 021) ________ $2.50
Annual Trout (Type 022) ________ $12.00
(Type 22 is a supplemental license that is required in addition to Type
001, Type 020 or Type 021)
Sportsman (Type 004) _________ $101.00
An all inclusive license, valid for hunting, trapping and sport fishing
without the necessity of any supplemental state licenses or permits.

Lifetime Sportsman ---- age determines the cost.
An all inclusive lifetime license valid for hunting, trapping, and sport
fishing without the necessity of any supplemental state licenses or
permits. Call your local TWRA office for an application or download an
application from this website.

Can only be purchased when 65th birthday is reached. A valid Tennessee
driver's license or proof of age and residency is required.
Sport Fishing License for the Blind
(Type 197) ______ $10.00
Available only by application from the TWRA Agency Sales Office located
in Nashville.
Lifetime Wheelchair Hunting and Fishing
(Type 189) _______ $10.00
Available only by application from the TWRA Agency Sales Office located
in Nashville.
Lifetime DAV Hunting and Fishing
(Type 198) ________ $10.00
Available to resident veterans certified by the VA as 30 percent
disabled by reason of war service. Available only by application from
the TWRA Agency Sales Office located in Nashville.
Lifetime Mentally Challenged
(Type 199) _______ $10.00
Must be receiving SSI benefits due to mental retardation. Available only
by application from the TWRA Agency Sales Office located in Nashville.
County of Residence Fishing
(Type 020) ________ $6.00
This license allows an angler to fish in his/her county of residence
with natural bait (worms, crickets, corn, etc.), but not minnows. No
artificial baits can be used. A supplemental license (Type 022) is
required to fish for trout.

Misplace Your License?
If you misplace your license, contact any license agent and ask for a
duplicate license. There is a $5.00 replacement fee ($4.00 goes to the
TWRA; $1.00 goes to the license agent).
