Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for: Things are pretty much holding the same as last week. Typical summer patterns. So, we just don't have much to add. We're still a month or more away from the good fall fishing. Lake level continues to slowly fall and is now about 10 inches below pool level. Be extremely careful out there. Those stumps are waiting on you. Water temp is 88. Here's this week's brief report: Crappie- Same as last week, which is good for this time of year. Would be considered fair fishing. Try fishing 12-15 feet of water and fishing 6-8 feet deep. Minnows are the bait of choice. Bass- Still fair early and late in the day. Bluegill- Still very slow. Catfish- Catfishing is still good. Once again, focus on submerged logs in about 4-7 feet of water. Nightcrawlers, shad guts and catalpa worms are good baits right now. If you know someone with a catalpa tree, go borrow some worms from them. Catfish really like those things. Stripes (Yellow Bass)- Slow.
