Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:
             April 4, 2015          
        

    SPAWNING TIME IS HERE

Jackie Wayne's Back with another fishing report on Reelfoot Lake...it's looking good.

Lake level is18 inches above pool...that's great for the spawn. Surface temp jumped to 61 degrees this week.

Crappie are doing good in shallow water on jigs blue and white tip with wax worms.

Deep water crappie are being caught on minnows using double hook minnow rigs in 6 to10 feet of water going
.7 mph....not slow...not fast.
Bigger fish are being caught at upper blue basin the last two weeks.

Catfish are still doing good in ditches and around trees on worms.

Bass are spawning in shallow water on stumps, trees, and duck blinds.

In 2 to 4 feet of water some bluegill are being caught around grass shore lines on jigs tip with wax worms.

We'll folks it's what we've been waiting for...so it's on.

Get down here and wet some lines. Fish and have fun be safe and take a kid with you.
