reelfoot lake fishing report

Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:
March 18, 2011

Spring officially arrives Sunday and the only thing higher than the interest level of anglers is the water level. Reelfoot Lake is 8" above pool level. Both The upper and lower basin is in good condition.
Surface temps this week were 52 to 56 degree range.

   Bluegill: Slow

Crappie: Good: Reports coming in with fish being caught in 10'+ water. Baits of choice have been trolling double rigs with minnows and jigs. Some fish are being caught casting jigs in 2-4' water.  Remember, the limit is 30 Crappie per day per man. There are no size limits on Reelfoot Lake.

Bass: Good: A few bassers are slow rolling 3/4oz single blade spinnerbaits around stumps and logs.

Catfish: Good: The bite is good in the ditches.

Stripes: Catching some while crappie fishing
