reelfoot lake fishing report

Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:
December 8, 2010

Reelfoot Lake is 35" below pool level. Water temps are 35 to 38 degree range. Water conditions are good with slight stain in color. The lake level is very low. Use caution when putting your boat in around the ramps and motoring across the lake.

According to the weatherman another cold front is in the forecast for later this weekend where below average temps will linger well into next week. Those winter bass, and sleepy crappie will just have to wait for better weather as most anglers have put their fishing fever on hold.

   Bluegill: No Report

Crappie: Good: Some decent size ones are being caught around the stumps in 6-12' water. Baits of choice have been 1/16 ounce jigs in the red/char, blue/char color combos. Remember, the limit is 30 Crappie per day per man. There are no size limits on Reelfoot Lake.

   Bass: No Report

   Catfish: No Report

  Stripes: No Report
