Hunting seasons are upon us and hunters looking for a place to hunt in Tennessee are fortunate to have over one million acres of public hunting lands available.
These lands include TWRA Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) and Public
Hunting Areas (PHAs).
Depending on the location and the hunting season, hunters can expect to
find deer, boar, black bear, wild turkey, waterfowl, grouse, squirrel,
quail and rabbit. A complete listing of Tennessee public hunting lands and the rules and regulations that apply to them can be found in the 2002-2003 Tennessee Hunting and Trapping Guide available at all TWRA offices or wherever hunting licenses are sold. Hunters can also go on line at www.tnwildlife.org. |
