Report for November 9th, 2001 With deer season opening up and waterfowl season opening next weekend, we haven't had alot of reports lately. Due to the lack of fishermen this time of year and the lack of information, we will be posting fishing reports every couple of weeks instead of weekly until spring fishing begins.
Even though there aren't many reports coming in, there is good
news in the Crappie fishing department. The north end has really been
producing lately and most of the fishermen on the water can be found
chasing Crappie. Crappie - Crappie fishing is good and the influx of boats the past week are due to this fact. The upper blue basin is producing well. Try a black hair jig in 1.5-3 feet of water, fishing a foot deep. Bass - Bass fishing is fair. The lily pads are probably a good bet, but there have not been many reports to back this up with. Catfish -No reports lately Bream (bluegill) - a few bluegill are being caught mixed in with the Crappie on the north end. But, overall it would be considered slow. Stripes - No reports lately.
