Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for: Even in the cooler weather, there's still some good fishing to be had. Bass lead the way this week with crappie not far behind. You'd have thought the cold front would have slowed the bass, but it didn't slow em down as of Saturday. Lake level remains a couple of inches above pool, just right for fishing on Reelfoot. Water temps are in the low 60's. Here's the rest: Crappie-Crappie fishing is still good. 10-12 feet of water has been producing well and some are also being had in the shallower water (5-6 ft). It's your guess which one to try first. Minnows are the top bait. Bass-Some really nice catches of bass have been brought in over the last few days. Catches of 20-25 a day were had by more than a few anglers. Good sized fish are also being had in the 5-6 pound range. They are still shallow. Good areas include the lily pads and mouths of ditches. Try a spinnerbait, buzzbait, spoon or rat-l-trap. Bluegill-Bluegill fishing has slowed, but there are still a few being caught in the ditches. Catfishing-Catfishing has been fair this week. They're catching them in water anywhere from 3-8 feet deep. Fish around the trees and logs. Stinkbait and nightcrawlers seem to produce about equally well. Stripes-Slow.
