reelfoot lake fishing report

Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:
November 14th, 2003

Wind has really been rough this week, but they're still catching some fish, especially catfish. Crappie fishing should be good also once the wind lays. We'll keep it short and sweet this week.

Crappie-Been catching a few in the channel on jigs. Of course, with the wind blowing 20 mph that's about the only place you can fish for them. Wind's supposed to lay Friday and it would probably be a good time to head for the deep water (10+ feet), if it does.

If the wind is blowing, try pink/chartreuse or yellow/chartreuse jigs in the channels.

Catfish-Jackie went after them Thursday and said they're really biting. They brought in about 200 lbs. of catfish in 5  hours or so. Caught em on shad fishing around the cypress trees in 3-6 ft. of water. Try fishing right off the bottom or maybe even suspended up a little.

   Bass-No reports.

   Bluegill- Slow.

   Stripes-Slow.
