EAGLE WATCHING TOURS
January - Mid March

Reelfoot Lake is home to one of the largest wintering populations of eagles in the country. During the peak season (Jan.-Feb.) there can be as many as 200 eagles wintering on Reelfoot.

The most popular way to observe and learn about the eagles on Reelfoot is through the guided tours that are available. The state park has been conducting eagle tours every winter since 1974. All tours are lead by state park rangers and naturalists, who provide plenty of eagle information along the way.

EAGLE TOURS will depart from the Reelfoot Lake State Park Visitor Center on Hwy. 21 across the street from Boyette’s Dining Room.

EAGLE TOURS are approximately two hours and are held at 10:00AM daily and at 1:30PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are a flat rate of $5 per person and can be purchased at the front counter inside the Reelfoot Lake State Park Visitor Center. Tours are by bus and there will be opportunities for some to step off to take photos, look through scopes and binoculars.

Guest Speakers every Saturday night in January and February at 7:00PM. Location is in Ellington Hall at the Reelfoot Lake State Park Visitor Center and free to the public.

Reelfoot Lake Eagle Festival is February 5-7. Visit Reelfoot Lake State Park on this weekend for a variety of programs, tours, and vendors. There will be a photo and art contest as well as children’s activities.
